Description and location
Malta Köşkü (the Maltese Pavilion) stands in Yildiz Park, to the east of Yildiz Palace. Built in the 19th century by Sarkis Balyan and his brothers, some of the best-known architects of the period, the yellow and green painted building stands on two floors. The pavilion witnessed a number of historical events but remained empty for some 40 years after Sultan Abdulhamid II (I 876-1909) went into exile. It was taken over and restored by Istanbul
Municipality in 1941.
Meeting facilities
Malta Köskü is used for meetings for up to 450 people in summer, and can host cocktails for up to 550 guests. In the winter, it is able to accomodate 150 people for meetings and cocktails
