One of the latest Formula 1 tracks in the world, İstanbul Park has introduced a great adventure to the city. Beside F1, important motor sports organizations are held in İstanbul Park so it is advisable to check the weekend programmes. Designed by renowned German architect Herman Tilke, the 5.338 kilometer circuit celebrated its offi cial opening in August 2005 with the inaugural Turkish Grand Prix. Since then the track has established itself as a fi rm favorite of the racing community. Featuring 14 challenging bends and an unusual anti-clockwise layout, it is considered a benchmark test of both driver and car, and the multiapex Turn Eight has already gone down in Formula One folklore as one of the sport’s toughest corners. The Paddock Building includes two control towers, pit lanes, terrace and medical center.
