DESCRIPTION AND LOCATION

Feriye Police Station is one of the most fascinating examples of late 19th century Ottoman architecture. It was built shortly after the Dolmabahçe and Çırağan palaces, constructed when the Ottoman sultans moved from Topkapı Palace to the shores of the Bosphorus. The building witnessed a number of important events in Ottoman times, and itself resembles a small palace with a marble colonnade on its façade. In 1995 this lovely building was restored by the Kabataş Boys’ High School Educational Foundation, and today houses Feriye Restaurant. Located between Beşiktaş and Ortaköy on the European shore of the strait, the building commands a magnificent view of the Bosphorus.

MEETING FACILITIES

Feriye Restaurant consists of fi ve rooms of different sizes for diverse functions. The 10-person round tables in the Feyyaz Tokker Room can accomodate up to 120 diners. Cocktails for 150 people can be held here, and the room can accommodate up to 30 people in classroom layout or 40 in U shape. Functions for 200-300 people can be held by combining this room with the central foyer and public restaurant. Seating arrangements are entirely flexible, depending on the number of guests. The room is suitable for a variety of diff erent purposes, and sound facilities can be set up if desired. The Pink Room is equipped for 40-person meetings, or up to 25 people in U layout. The restaurant also includes the Adnan Barlas Room with a fixed oval glass table capable of seating 18, as well as the Blue Room and the Hamdi Saver Room, both with theater seating for 400 and dinner style seating 300 persons.
